Productivo helps small service teams run their business — clients, invoices, projects, tasks, meetings and WhatsApp, all in one place. To do that we handle some data, and we'd rather tell you plainly what we collect and why than hide it behind ten pages of legalese. Here's the honest version.
1. Who we are
This policy applies to the Productivo website (productivo.in), the web app (crm.productivo.in) and the Productivo mobile app — together, "Productivo," "we," "us" or "the Service." If you have any privacy question at all, the fastest way to reach a human is support@productivo.in.
2. The data we collect
Information you give us
Your account: name, email address, phone number and password (stored hashed — we never see it in plain text) when you sign up.
Your business data: whatever you put into Productivo to run your work — client and contact details, invoices and amounts, projects, tasks, meeting notes, and so on. This is your data; we're just the filing cabinet.
Payment details: when you upgrade to Pro, your card/UPI payment is handled entirely by Cashfree, our payment gateway. We never see or store your full card number — we only receive a confirmation that the payment succeeded, plus a transaction reference.
Information we collect automatically
Visitor analytics on our landing page: when you visit productivo.in we record anonymous, aggregate signals so we know our marketing is working — an approximate location (city level, derived from your IP), the device and browser you used, which link or ad campaign brought you, how long you stayed, and where on the page you clicked. This is the same kind of data any analytics tool collects. It is not tied to your name and is used to improve the site and our ads.
Cookies: we use a small number of cookies — to keep you logged in, to remember a single anonymous visitor ID so we don't double-count you, and for analytics (Google Analytics) and ad measurement (Meta Pixel). You can clear or block these in your browser at any time.
Usage logs: basic technical logs (IP, timestamps, error reports) that help us keep the Service secure and fix bugs.
3. When you connect Google or WhatsApp
Some features need to talk to other services on your behalf — and only with your explicit permission:
Google Meet / Calendar: if you connect your Google account, we use that access only to create and sync meetings you schedule in Productivo. We don't read your other emails or files, and we don't sell or share anything from your Google account. You can disconnect it any time from your account settings or your Google permissions page.
WhatsApp CRM: if you use the WhatsApp features, messages you send and receive through Productivo pass through WhatsApp's official infrastructure. We store the message content and contact numbers so your conversation history is there when you come back.
4. How we use your data
We use the data above to do exactly what you'd expect, and nothing sneaky:
To run the Service — show you your clients, generate your invoices, send your reminders.
To process your Pro payment and keep your subscription active.
To send you essential service emails (sign-up confirmation, password resets, payment receipts, important notices).
To answer your support requests.
To understand how people find and use our site so we can improve it.
To keep the Service safe — preventing fraud, abuse and security incidents.
We do not sell your data. Full stop. We don't sell your client lists, your invoices, your contacts, or anything else you store with us. That's not our business model — our business model is the ₹1499/year you pay us.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with the handful of trusted providers we need to actually deliver the Service:
Cashfree — to process payments.
Google — for Meet/Calendar sync, if you connect it.
WhatsApp / Meta — to deliver WhatsApp messages, if you use that feature.
Email and hosting providers — to send transactional emails and host the Service securely.
Analytics — Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, for the website only.
The only other time we'd hand over data is if the law genuinely requires it (a valid legal order), or to protect Productivo and its users from harm or fraud. We'd push back on anything overbroad.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we'll delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we're legally required to keep certain records (for example, payment and tax records, which Indian law requires us to retain for several years). You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see section 8.
7. How we protect it
We take security seriously: passwords are hashed, data is transmitted over HTTPS, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is ever 100% bulletproof — anyone who tells you otherwise is lying — but we work hard to keep your data safe and we'll tell you promptly if something ever goes wrong.
8. Your rights
It's your data, so you're in control. At any time you can:
Access or correct your information from inside the app.
Export your invoices and records.
Delete your account and ask us to erase your data.
Opt out of non-essential cookies via your browser, and unsubscribe from any marketing emails.
To exercise any of these, just email support@productivo.in from your registered address and we'll take care of it.
9. Children
Productivo is a tool for businesses and isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. For anything significant, we'll also let you know by email. Continuing to use Productivo after a change means you're okay with it.
